My Cache is a private, local-first inventory app. The app has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud synchronization, or automatic data uploads.
Information stored by the app
My Cache stores the inventory you enter—including collections, custom fields, item details, identifiers, holdings, locations, acquisition details, notes, history, wishlist entries, and reference photos—inside the app on your device.
Hickory and Willow, LLC does not operate a server that receives or synchronizes this inventory. The app works offline and does not require an account.
Camera, photos, and scanning
My Cache requests camera or photo-library access only after you choose a feature that needs it. You can change those permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Supported barcode and text recognition happen on your device. Results are presented for your review and do not change your inventory unless you choose to apply and save them.
Exports and sharing
Information leaves My Cache only when you start an export or share action, open an outside link, or use Apple services described below. The destination you choose—such as Files, Mail, Messages, or another app—handles an exported copy under its own privacy practices.
My Cache backup files include inventory details and a record of which entries had photos, but they do not include the photo files themselves. Spreadsheet reports are not backups.
Retention, backup, and deletion
Your inventory remains on your device until you change it or delete My Cache. The app's inventory database and stored reference photos are marked as excluded from iOS device backup. Use the in-app backup feature to keep a portable copy of your inventory details.
Using iOS's Delete App option removes the inventory held in My Cache's app container. Offload App is different: iOS is designed to retain an offloaded app's documents and data for a later reinstall. Deleting My Cache does not delete copies that you previously exported or shared; those must be removed from their destinations separately.
Apple and TestFlight
Apple may process App Store or TestFlight information such as installation status, diagnostics, crash reports, and feedback according to your device and TestFlight choices. That information is handled under Apple's Privacy Policy. My Cache does not add its own analytics or tracking to that process.
This privacy website
This static page contains no forms, analytics, advertising, scripts, or third-party media, and its page code does not set or read cookies. It is hosted by InMotion Hosting, whose infrastructure may create ordinary server logs containing information such as an IP address, browser details, requested page, and time for operations and security. Children's privacy
My Cache is a general inventory utility and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Hickory and Willow service.
Policy changes
If My Cache's data practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will change. Material changes will be reflected in the app or its App Store information when appropriate.
